Protecting your personal data is important to us. Personal data means any information that can be used to identify you personally.

We process personal data confidentially and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

4. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by an external hosting provider (IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany). When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically collects information in server log files transmitted by your browser. This may include in particular:

page/file accessed
referrer URL
browser type and version
operating system

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable website operation). Log data is generally stored for a short period and then deleted unless retention is required for security reasons.

Technically necessary storage

We use local storage in your browser (localStorage) to remember your choice in the cookie banner (key: mende-cookie-consent). This is technically necessary to document your consent and avoid repeated prompts.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in user-friendly consent management) or § 25(2) TDDDG.

If you consent to the Statistics category, we use Google Analytics 4. Details are set out in section 6. Without this consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.

We do not currently use marketing cookies or scripts. This category is reserved for possible future services and is activated only after express consent.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Analytics is loaded and data is collected only if you have consented to the Statistics category via the cookie banner or cookie settings. No Google script is loaded before consent.

Purpose

The measurement is used to analyse how this website is used (e.g. pages viewed, approximate region, device type, time on page) and to improve the website. Advertising features and Google Signals are not enabled.

Data processed

Depending on the Google Analytics configuration, processing may include in particular:

online identifiers (cookie IDs, e.g. _ga, _ga_…)
usage data (page views, referrer, timestamps)
device and browser information
approximate location data (derived from the IP address, without storing the full IP address in Google Analytics 4)

According to Google, the IP address is not stored in Google Analytics 4. Usage data is not fully anonymised; cookies can recognise a returning browser.

Legal basis

Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (consent). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

Recipients and transfers to third countries

The recipient is Google Ireland Limited. Processing by Google LLC in the United States is possible. Transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (where Google LLC is certified) and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Cookies set by Google Analytics typically last up to two years. Retention of usage data in the Google Analytics account follows the settings configured there (commonly 14 months for Google Analytics 4).

Data processing agreement

Use is based on the Google Ads Data Processing Terms (processor agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR).

Withdrawal

You can change or withdraw your consent under Cookie settings. You can also delete cookies in your browser. Further information from Google: Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics.

7. Contact form

When you send us an inquiry via a contact form, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email, phone, message and any uploaded files) to handle your request.

Depending on the form type, purposes may include:

general contact inquiries
project and manufacturing inquiries
job applications (including CV and attachments)

Transmission is via POST to our web server; data is forwarded by email to Willfried Mende GmbH. Confirmation that you have read this privacy policy is required.

Uploaded files (e.g. PDF, STEP, ZIP) are used solely to process your inquiry and are not passed on to third parties without a legal basis.

8. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the personal data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of the inquiry) to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Retention period

We process personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Inquiries from contact forms and emails are deleted after processing is complete unless further retention is required for commercial or tax law reasons.

Application documents are deleted after the recruitment process is completed unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate interests require otherwise.

10. Disclosure to third parties

We generally disclose your personal data to third parties only where necessary for contract performance or handling your inquiry, where we are legally obliged to do so, or where you have consented. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. After consent to the Statistics category, Google Analytics transmits usage data to Google (see section 6).

11. Data security

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss or unauthorised access. Data transmission over the internet generally uses TLS/HTTPS encryption.

12. External links

Our website may contain links to external websites (e.g. LinkedIn). The respective operators are solely responsible for their content and privacy practices.

13. Updates

We update this privacy policy when the website, services used or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page applies.
